In this course, we will learn to apply various fine motor skills usually required for preparing meals. These fine motor skills can also be applied to other daily life tasks, such as refilling household supplies.

This course is recommended for:

  • Middle Years (11 – 14 years old) and above

In this course, we will learn how to:

  • Twist Open and Close
  • Lift or Snap Open and Close
  • Lift and Pull Open
  • Tear or Cut Open
  • Open or Reseal Ziplock Bags
  • Use Rubber Bands or Food Saver Clips
  • Scoop or Pour Food and Liquids
  • Stir or Mix Food or Liquids

In this course, we will learn how to:

  • Recognise the different types of food storage containers and packaging
  • Demonstrate the fine motor skills needed to open and/or close different food storage containers and packaging
  • Demonstrate the fine motor skills required to handle hot food and liquids

This online course is open for Pathlight School students to access.
