In this programme, we will learn how to use appliances safely and how to use and clean a variety of kitchen appliances.

  • Middle Years (11 – 14 years old) and above

In this programme, we will learn:

  • How to stay safe when handling electrical sockets, power cords and switches.
  • The safety precautions to take when using appliances.
  • The safety precautions to take when handling hot food.
  • The correct way to use and maintain a toaster and/or toaster oven.
  • The safety precautions to follow when using a toaster and/or toaster oven.
  • The correct way to use and maintain an electric kettle.
  • The safety precautions to follow when using an electric kettle.
  • The correct way to use and maintain a gas stove.
  • The safety precautions to follow when using a gas stove.
  • The correct way to use and maintain an electric stove and an induction cooker.
  • The safety precautions to follow when using an electric stove and an induction cooker.
  • The correct way to use and maintain a microwave oven.
  • The safety precautions to follow when using a microwave oven.
  • The correct way to use and maintain an electric food steamer.
  • The safety precautions to follow when using an electric food steamer.
  • The correct way to use and maintain an oven.
