Healthy Media Balance

Full course description

As technology integrates into everyday life, we often use technology and digital devices without thinking twice. In a day, we may text friends and family, stream videos on YouTube, look up a recipe online, or do the homework assigned through an online learning portal.

While technological advances have made daily living more convenient and efficient, we should aim for a healthy balance with screen time and other activities like spending time outdoors and interacting face-to-face with family and friends.

This course will examine the ways to achieve that healthy balance for ourselves.

This course covers the following topics:

  • Screen Time
  • Reasons for achieving healthy media balance
  • How to achieve a healthy media balance
  • Healthy media choices

In this course, we will learn to:

  • Explain why it is important to manage our screen time
  • List ways to achieve a healthy balance between screen time and other activities
