Opera is a compelling way to tell stories through song and drama. It is a higher-level musical that needs to be sung by trained voices. Often, the opera is sung through without lines of spoken dialogue.

This course will introduce you to: The Barber of Seville.

This opera presents one of the most cheerful of all operas: The Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini. Rossini was prolific and wrote 39 operas during his lifetime. However, he wrote his last opera, William Tell, at the age of 37 and spent most of his later years as an amateur chef.
